Discover Your Authentic Self:
4 Human Design Types Explained

Have you heard of human design? It’s a system that reveals your unique traits and helps you better understand yourself. To assist you in discovering your true self, it combines astrology, the Chinese I Ching, and quantum physics. In this blog post,   we’ll explore four different human design types. We will also provide insight into their strengths and characteristics.

If you want more insights into this topic, please do check out our podcast episode 146, “Human Design Types Explained,” wherein our guest  Jenna Carroll, specializing in human design, talks about the 4 types of human design.  Available on me&my health up Buzzsprout and our Youtube channel.

What is Human Design?

Human design is a science that helps understand the energy mechanics of a person’s aura or energy field. The Human Design System incorporates four ancient sciences. These are the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, the chakra system, astrology, and Chinese teachings. It incorporates more contemporary forms of science like genetics, quantum physics, and astronomy.

Human design talks about subatomic particles called neutrinos. The stars, the sun, and some planets produce those particles and are present around Earth. When a person is born, there is a crystallization or implantation of the neutrino field. This field creates a cosmic DNA for an individual, making them a snapshot in time of the higher universal energies at play at that point.

How Is Human Design Determined?

You’ll need to know your birth details, including the day, hour, and location, in order to determine your human design. This information is then plugged into software to produce a chart. Your Human Design chart is a representation of your unique energy signature. It is also a very goal understanding of your true self. It’s an opportunity to go beyond the conditioning and influences you’ve experienced in your life and connect with who you are.

What are Human Design Types?

Your aura has a unique design that affects how you exchange energy. There are four distinct types, each with many variations. Human Design Types help you learn about yourself. Whether you thrive with routine or need fluidity, from your digestive system to your cognitive function.

Four Human Design Types

1. The Manifesters

Manifesters are a powerful energy type in human design, making up only 8-10% of the population. Manifesters are natural leaders and initiators. They have a strong connection to the universe. They often feel an urge or spark of inspiration to create and start change. Their aura leads the way, blazing new trails for others to follow.

Manifesting requires a lot of energy, but as a manifester, they have the ability to sustain this energy and get things started. But it’s important to honor their independence and not let others take them out of their creative flow. If it happens, they may experience deep anger and resentment.

To avoid this, they inform others that they’re in a creative flow and protect their independence. They have the ability to make things happen, but it’s important to be aware of their own energy and not let others put them on a pedestal.

2. The Generators

These human design types make up 70% of the population. They are the ones responsible for creating and building the world. They also boost the vitality of society. They have access to the sacral energy center, which holds their lifeforce potential.

The biggest challenge for generators is that they can get disconnected from their passions and desires. This often leads to burnout. It’s important for them to find what sparks joy and align with it, so they can generate energy potential and have a positive impact on others. They focus on tuning into their sacral response to realize their potential rather than constantly hustle.

3. The Projectors

About 20–21% of the population in Human Design makes up a particular type of energy called the Projectors. They are guides and have an aura structure that projects out in front of them. Projectors have the ability to see other people in a unique way. They are efficient at finding ways to improve systems and understanding people.

Projectors are here to direct the energy of the other types and be future leaders. But, society is not built for projectors, and they have limited energy resources. They may struggle to work a traditional 9 to 5 job and burn out. It’s important for projectors to build their lives and businesses around their energy and take breaks to allow their genius to unfold.

4. Reflectors

Reflectors make up only 1% of the population in Human Design. They have an open design with an aura that tastes like their environment. They serve as social mirrors and are at the center of a community’s health assessment.

Reflectors should exercise caution when entering environments because they are susceptible to chronic illness. They make excellent psychologists and can remain aimed at interpersonal issues. Reflectors are unique individuals who are important for the functioning of society.
